March Update

Between preparing an alpha demo for our game, studying and social obligations, March was a pretty crazy month. I'm currently taking a short break from work so I finally got some personal work done.

So much I could have done better on this one, but it's time to move on. Learned a lot, and more still to learn.

This was a sketch I did to cool down from deadlines. I feel like my studies are starting to pay off. I still struggle with male figures without reference, but not as much as I used to. Definitely enjoying my milestones more and more.

February Update

Here's some recent work. :) I'm enjoying work a lot these days. I'm learning a lot about team and especially time management. It's not always easy balancing home keeping, studies, work and social life, but any less challenging and I would probably get bored. Everyday is a different mix and a different lesson. I wouldn't have it any other way.

This was a long overdue collaboration with Pejie Abia. As for what this represents, you'll have to ask him. He drew it, I painted it. Whatever is creepy in this is his fault. :)

I made some brushes for work and thought I'd play with them a bit.

I also added an easel and drawing board to my workstation. My studies and sketches are over at my learning journal. I also restocked on gouache but I'll play with those later when I'm a little more comfortable with my pencils.

Here are some leftover work from when I freelanced. These were bgs for Shut Up cartoon's OHB Origins. The lines and the colors for the stage were done by Angela Sung - a great artist and friend. She taught me a lot over our skype sessions.
